Wraparound Care at Dashwood Banbury Academy
Blackthorn Breakfast Club
- Parents/carers will need to pre-book a place in breakfast club. A link to a booking form will be sent the term before for you to request your preferred days. We will confirm via email if your booking has been successful.
- Pupils in Reception – Year 6 can attend breakfast club.
- Parents/carers should drop off pupils that are pre booked in between 8.00 and 8.30am. Please note: breakfast will be served until 8.20am.
- Pupils will sit at tables to eat their breakfast and there will be some calming activities available such as colouring and reading.
- Breakfast food items include cereal, fresh fruit, yoghurt and toast.
- To book a place, please use the link that is text out the term before or contact the school office.
Acer Afterschool Club
Our after school club runs Monday – Friday from 3.15pm until 5.50pm. In order to secure a place in After School Club it has to be booked. A link to a booking form will be sent the term before for you to request your preferred days. We will confirm via email if your booking has been successful.
Sessions are charged at £12 per session and £8 for a sibling, which includes a snack tea. After school club can be used on adhoc basis but only if we have spaces available and it is pre-booked.
If you would like to use this service, then please see the school office to book in.
Charges for late collections:
The last time for collection from After School is 5.50pm. Any collections after this time will be charged at £3 for each 10 minutes late, per child.

If your child attends either our Blackthorn Breakfast Club and Acer Afterschool Club, you will need to complete the parent agreement form as below. Paper copies can be obtained from the school office.

After School Club snack menu
We are delighted to introduce our healthier options After School Club Light Snack Menu. Our aim is to create a menu of some healthier choices for our pupils. Any feedback, we would be pleased to hear from you!
Choices range from:
- Wholemeal wraps with a choice of cheese, ham or jam filling.
- Baked beans or spaghetti on toast
- Array of different fruits such as strawberries, blueberries, raspberries or grapes
- Vegetable sticks – carrots or cucumber
- Yoghurts
- Nest of noodles
