Official Opening

Cherry class officially OPEN!

The Mayor cutting the ribbon

The Banbury Town Mayor officially opened our new Nursery building for two year olds by cutting the ribbon on Tuesday 7th February 2017.

Looking on were lots of parents of young children either attending or planning to attend the Nursery as well as parents of children from Dashwood Academy.

The weather was kind to us and so the visitors were able to look at the bright and specially designed inside area and the purpose built outside play area.

Dashwood Academy has been growing over the last 9 years from 150 children to over 320.  We were very fortunate to have been awarded a grant which has enabled us to open this new Nursery for 2 year olds. Sarah O’Neil and Neil Brookes have worked tirelessly to create the stimulating and enriching environment where the pupils can be supported in their learning and play.

Sian, a mother of a child attending the new nursery said: “My two year old son loves coming here. He just drops his bag and gets stuck in – doesn’t even look back at me”

Cllr. Gordon Ross stated that he was: “Very impressed with the facility, children should enjoy learning and this environment will do that. It will encourage them from an early start to enjoy school and lead to a great future life”

Parents who wish to view the new Nursery or Dashwood Banbury Academy can do so by calling 01295 263240 to arrange a visit.
