London Welsh Rugby Club

Ash and Aspen really have had ‘Something to Chew On’!

LWRC1This term, Year 3 and 4 have been participating in the ‘Something To Chew On’ programme delivered by London Welsh Rugby Club. All pupils have enjoyed their 6 weeks of tag rugby skills coaching and learning about keeping healthy through exercise, diet and hygiene. The programme culminated in designing and making a healthy sandwich using a balance of the different food groups we have learned about.

Healthy EatingA note from the London Welsh coach…

Hello, we at London Welsh, just wished to say how enjoyable it was to teach and coach all the children who have completed our Healthy Eating programme this term with us.
It was a real pleasure to receive such positive feedback form the teachers and children alike. Miss Gooch said, “The children have really enjoyed the programme over the past few weeks, discussing how healthy diets and lifestyles, along with rugby play such an important role in the classroom. Learning about hygiene, diet, exercise and fluids has been really beneficial.”
We hope to see your children again either in the classroom, on the pitch or at the Kassam Stadium next season.
If your child is interested in finding out more about rugby please contact us and we will put you in touch with your local rugby club.
Once again thanks for the fun we had and we look forward to seeing you soon again.
